After my walk home, from school, I pushed open the unlocked door. The
scent of bleach smacked my nostrils and I knew. I knew she was washing
away some emotion. Years later, I fully understood the pain she so desired
to lighten from her life.
Was it a whiff of bleach I caught from the crisp sheets? He felt good,
those sensational thrusts sent waves of tingles up through my
body, yet un-nerved my mind. Wavering, my intellect wouldn’t stop the
banter. I knew some good things, about this man, yet who was he, really?
Voluntarily, I had followed his kisses into the blue/green fluff, as jazzy
loose ends fluttered through the curtains. I moved beyond the door and I
guess, the dots turned into a thin line...right at the threshold.
How did I get here?
Was there a way out?
The pulsations continued…..and before my mind quelled, he stopped.
Latex had blocked my sensations.
Now, what to do?
How long do I stay?
Where were my clothes?
Why did I come?
It was the sudden realization....only the dogs were downstairs.
